When the sun shines, we receive 2 types of UV rays at the surface of our skin:
- UVB which represent 5% of the UV spectrum and are responsible of visible effects such as tanning or sunburns.
- UVA which represent 95% of the UV spectrum, penetrate deeply on the skin layers and are responsible of invisible effects such as oxidative stress and the decrease of skin immune defenses which lead to visible effects such as skin aging and skin cancers.

Photoderm Lait ULTRA SPF50+ is the result of the latest research of Laboratoire Bioderma. It was tailored to provide very high protection, reinforced against UVA rays for all sensitive skin, even the most vulnerable.

Its formula is inspired by the natural protective mechanisms of the skin under the sun:

1. SUN ACTIVE DEFENSE PATENT
- A unique combination of filters and biological protection that improves the capacity of the skin to defend itself to help maintain long-lasting care of its health in the sun.
- Rather than overloading the skin with filters, BIODERMA reinforces the skin's self-defense abilities to compensate for the biological impacts of UVA (skin aging, immunosuppression)

Our formulation science is crafted with the Dermshield art of formulation, inspired by the natural protective mechanisms of the skin under the sun.

This lipidic complex of vegetal origin, silicon-free, displays a high affinity with the superficial layers of the skin, it creates a protective film acting as a physical shield that optimizes solar protection while increasing the skin barrier impermeability.

2. PHYSICAL SHIELD EFFECT
Our Dermshield art of formulation creates an imperceptible protective film at the surface of the skin, protecting it from external aggressions and irritations.

3. SKIN BARRIER IMPERMEABILITY

It retains skin physiological water, thus maintaining the natural skin hydration.

4. OPTIMISED PROTECTION

This extremely even and stable film maintains sun filters at the surface of the skin and optimizes their distribution. They maintain their protective efficacy despite sweating or bathing, while limiting the spreading of our products in aquatic ecosystems.

Bioderma’s product how to use the product step by step

Apply several times a day when exposed to the sun.

Step 1 Apply generously before sun exposure (a small amount of product lowers the level of sun protection).
Step 2 Reapply after swimming or friction.

Avoid contact with fabrics. Apply to healthy skin only. Keep babies and young children out of the sun. Encourage children to wear protective clothing and use the product on uncovered areas. Over exposure to the sun can damage the health. Do not stay too long in the sun.
